Professional Equipment, Superior Results
We use commercial-grade rotary surface cleaners — not standard pressure washer lances. This gives even, streak-free results and is gentler on your surfaces while being far more effective at removing ingrained dirt, moss and algae.
- Rotary surface cleaners for driveways & patios
- Adjustable pressure for delicate surfaces
- Hot water option for oil & grease removal
I'm Stephen — Former Local Authority Cleaning Inspector
Before starting Stardust Cleaning in 2000, I spent years inspecting cleaning contracts for local councils. I know exactly what "properly clean" looks like — because I used to fail contractors who didn't meet the standard.
That background means I hold every job to professional inspection standards. If it wouldn't pass my old checklist, we're not done.
I personally quote every Woodthorpe job and oversee quality. When you call, you speak to me — not a call centre.

Driveway cleaning starts from £4 per square metre. A typical 40m² block paving driveway costs £160-£200, including kiln-dried sand re-application. We provide free, fixed-price quotes — no hidden fees.
Light rain doesn't affect pressure washing — we're using water anyway! For heavy rain, we'll contact you to reschedule at no charge. We monitor forecasts and communicate proactively.
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the area and an outside tap, you don't need to be present. We'll send before and after photos so you can see the transformation.
You can walk on it immediately. For block paving that's been re-sanded, we recommend waiting 24 hours before driving on it to let the sand settle into the joints.

Yes. If you're not completely satisfied, we'll return and re-clean at no extra cost. We're also fully insured with £5 million public liability cover for complete peace of mind.
Absolutely. Woodthorpe has many Edwardian and interwar properties with original features. We're experienced with older surfaces including flagstones, York stone, and period brick. We use appropriate pressure settings and take care around historic pointing.
Woodthorpe's mature tree canopy from the Grange Park and established gardens creates shade and deposits leaf debris. This, combined with the area's northerly aspect, creates ideal conditions for moss and algae. Regular cleaning every 2-3 years keeps surfaces looking their best.

About Woodthorpe
Woodthorpe is a leafy residential suburb on the northern edge of Nottingham, straddling the boundary between the city and the Borough of Gedling. The area is defined by Woodthorpe Grange Park, a 22-hectare Green Flag-awarded public park centred on the Grade II listed Woodthorpe Grange, built in 1874 as the family home of industrialist Henry Ashwell, a master bleacher who owned factories in New Basford. The estate was bisected by the Nottingham Suburban Railway in 1889, leading Ashwell to sell, and the park was acquired by Nottingham City Council in 1921, opening to the public the following year. The disused railway tunnels still run through the park today.
