25+ Years Experience

I'm Stephen — Former Local Authority Cleaning Inspector

Before starting Stardust Cleaning in 2000, I spent years inspecting cleaning contracts for local councils. I know exactly what "properly clean" looks like — because I used to fail contractors who didn't meet the standard.

That background means I hold every job to professional inspection standards. If it wouldn't pass my old checklist, we're not done.

I personally quote every Ruddington job and oversee quality. When you call, you speak to me — not a call centre.

"Wow what a difference..... Steve did a fantastic job cleaning and re-sanding our block paving drive and patio. And giving us advice on what to use to control the weeds. My next door neighbours were so impressed they asked him to clean theirs too. I really couldn't be happier with the results. The pictures speak for themselves."

Ruddington Pressure Washing Questions

Got questions? Here are the things customers ask most often.

Can't find your answer?

Call or message us — we respond within 2 hours.

Driveway cleaning starts from £4 per square metre. A typical 40m² block paving driveway costs £160-£200, including kiln-dried sand re-application. We provide free, fixed-price quotes — no hidden fees.

Light rain doesn't affect pressure washing — we're using water anyway! For heavy rain, we'll contact you to reschedule at no charge. We monitor forecasts and communicate proactively.

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the area and an outside tap, you don't need to be present. We'll send before and after photos so you can see the transformation.

You can walk on it immediately. For block paving that's been re-sanded, we recommend waiting 24 hours before driving on it to let the sand settle into the joints.

Yes — High Street, Church Street, Wilford Road, Loughborough Road, Kirk Lane, and all surrounding areas including Bradmore and Bunny. We're based in New Basford, around 15-20 minutes away via the A60.

Yes. If you're not completely satisfied, we'll return and re-clean at no extra cost. We're also fully insured with £5 million public liability cover for complete peace of mind.

Absolutely. Ruddington has many historic buildings from its framework knitting heritage, built in characteristic Flemish bond brickwork. We're experienced with older surfaces including flagstones and aged brick. We use appropriate pressure settings and take care around historic pointing.

Ruddington's established character — mature gardens, tree-lined streets, and proximity to Rushcliffe Country Park — creates shaded areas where moss and algae thrive. The village's gravelly loam soil drains well, but organic debris from surrounding trees accumulates on surfaces. Regular cleaning every 2-3 years keeps on top of it.

About Ruddington

Ruddington is a large village in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, 5 miles south of Nottingham. With a population of approximately 7,674 residents (2021 census), it's known as "The Museums Village" thanks to its three impressive museums. The name Ruddington derives from Old English meaning "Rudda's people's estate", appearing in the Domesday Book of 1086 with around 250 inhabitants. The village's character was shaped by framework knitting — by 1851, half of all households were involved in the hosiery trade, working in the characteristic frameshops that still survive today.
