I'm Stephen — Former Local Authority Cleaning Inspector

Before starting Stardust Cleaning in 2000, I spent years inspecting cleaning contracts for local councils. I know exactly what "properly clean" looks like — because I used to fail contractors who didn't meet the standard.

That background means I hold every job to professional inspection standards. If it wouldn't pass my old checklist, we're not done.

I personally quote every Tollerton job and oversee quality. When you call, you speak to me — not a call centre.

We Know Tollerton — and What Makes Driveways Here So Dirty

Tollerton is a rural village surrounded by working farmland and open countryside. That's a beautiful setting — but it means tractor mud on Tollerton Lane and Cotgrave Lane during ploughing and harvest, dust from arable fields, and far more leaf debris than your average Nottingham suburb thanks to the village's many mature trees and historic hedgerows.

We've been cleaning Tollerton properties since 2000 — from period cottages near St Peter's Church to executive homes off the A606 and 1950s family houses on Burnside Grove.

Whether you're in the old village near Tollerton Hall, on Bentinck Avenue, or in the newer developments along Melton Road, we're a short drive away via West Bridgford and the A606.

Areas we cover in Tollerton parish:

Old Village Burnside Grove Bentinck Avenue Cotgrave Lane A606 Corridor Clipston

Our Base: New Basford

Chelsea House, Chelsea Street, NG7 7HP

From New Basford we head south through the city to Trent Bridge, then take the A60/A606 Loughborough Road through West Bridgford and Edwalton. Whether you're in the old village or off Melton Road — we're there in around 25 minutes.

"Wow what a difference..... Steve did a fantastic job cleaning and re-sanding our block paving drive and patio. And giving us advice on what to use to control the weeds. My next door neighbours were so impressed they asked him to clean theirs too. I really couldn't be happier with the results. The pictures speak for themselves."

Tollerton Pressure Washing Questions

Got questions? Here are the things Tollerton customers ask most often.

Can't find your answer?

Call or message us — we respond within 2 hours.

Driveway cleaning starts from £4 per square metre. A typical 40m² block paving driveway costs £160-£200, including kiln-dried sand re-application. We provide free, fixed-price quotes — no hidden fees.

Light rain doesn't affect pressure washing — we're using water anyway! For heavy rain, we'll contact you to reschedule at no charge. We monitor forecasts and communicate proactively.

Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the area and an outside tap, you don't need to be present. We'll send before and after photos so you can see the transformation.

You can walk on it immediately. For block paving that's been re-sanded, we recommend waiting 24 hours before driving on it to let the sand settle into the joints.

Yes — the old village around St Peter's Church, Burnside Grove, Bentinck Avenue, the Cotgrave Lane area, the A606 corridor and the hamlet of Clipston. We also serve neighbouring Plumtree, Edwalton and Bassingfield.

Yes. If you're not completely satisfied, we'll return and re-clean at no extra cost. We're also fully insured with £5 million public liability cover for complete peace of mind.

Absolutely. We're experienced with Tollerton's older properties around the church and the historic farmhouses (Hall Farm, Chestnut Farm, Glebe Farm). We use appropriate pressure settings for older flagstones and take care around period pointing and render.

Tollerton is a rural village surrounded by working farmland. Tractor mud during ploughing and harvest, dust from arable fields, and many mature trees all contribute to algae, moss and lichen on driveways. Regular cleaning every 2-3 years keeps on top of it.

About Tollerton

Tollerton is a small rural village and civil parish in the Borough of Rushcliffe, just 4 miles south-east of Nottingham. Recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Troclaveston" — thought to derive from the Danish-Viking name Thorlaf with "tun" meaning farmstead — settlement here goes back well over 900 years. The 2021 census recorded a population of 1,915 residents. Surrounded by working farmland with views of open countryside, the village retains a distinct split between the historic core around St Peter's Church and Tollerton Hall and the 20th-century housing built along the A606 Melton Road.

St Peter's Church

Grade II listed parish church on Tollerton Lane. Foundations from the late 12th century, with a mausoleum added in 1794 by Pendock Barry. Major rebuilds in 1812 and a final restoration in 1908-09.
