About Bunny
Bunny is a picturesque village in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, 7 miles south of Nottingham on the A60 towards Loughborough. With a population of 715 (2021 census), it's one of the most charming villages in South Nottinghamshire. The name derives from Old English "Bune" meaning "reed island" — first recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as "Bonei". Settlement here dates back to Roman times, with a 1st-century Roman bowl discovered during building work in 1947, now in Nottingham Castle Museum. The village contains an impressive 23 listed buildings, many designed by the eccentric Sir Thomas Parkyns.

Grade I listed country house rebuilt c.1720 by Sir Thomas Parkyns to his own design. Features an 80-foot tower, 14.5 acres of formal gardens, and stands as one of Nottinghamshire's most significant historic houses.
