Professional Equipment, Superior Results
We use commercial-grade rotary surface cleaners β not standard pressure washer lances. This gives even, streak-free results and is gentler on your surfaces while being far more effective at removing ingrained dirt, moss and algae.
- Rotary surface cleaners for driveways & patios
- Adjustable pressure for delicate surfaces
- Hot water option for oil & grease removal
I'm Stephen β Former Local Authority Cleaning Inspector
Before starting Stardust Cleaning in 2000, I spent years inspecting cleaning contracts for local councils. I know exactly what "properly clean" looks like β because I used to fail contractors who didn't meet the standard.
That background means I hold every job to professional inspection standards. If it wouldn't pass my old checklist, we're not done.
I personally quote every Plumtree job and oversee quality. When you call, you speak to me β not a call centre.
We Know Plumtree β and Why Driveways Here Go Green
Plumtree sits on the edge of the Wolds in a sheltered position just off the A606. The village's mature gardens, established trees, and protected setting create shaded, moisture-retaining conditions that are ideal for moss and algae β particularly on north-facing surfaces and properties with heavy tree cover.
We've been cleaning properties across South Nottinghamshire since 2000 β from Georgian farmhouses on Church Hill to newer homes near the village green.
Whether you're near St Mary's Church, along Main Road, or in one of the converted farmsteads, we're around 20-25 minutes away via the A52 and A606 from New Basford.
Areas we cover in Plumtree:
Our Base: New Basford
Chelsea House, Chelsea Street, NG7 7HP
We head south via the A52 towards West Bridgford, then take the A606 Melton Road through Edwalton and Tollerton. Plumtree's position just off the main road makes it a straightforward route β whether you're in the village centre, near the church, or out towards Keyworth.

About Plumtree
Plumtree is a picturesque village on the edge of the Wolds, 5 miles south-east of Nottingham. Home to approximately 260 residents (2021 census), it sits just off the A606 Melton Road between Tollerton and Keyworth. The manor was held in medieval times by the Hastings family as Chief Stewards to the Crown. During the 13th and 14th centuries, there are references to a wapentake of Plumtree, suggesting it was the most important village in the area. The 1930 Plumtree bypass diverted through-traffic away from the village centre, preserving its peaceful character. Some farming land around the village is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall.
St Mary the Virgin Church
Grade I listed medieval church with Norman tower on Saxon foundations. Features painted and gilded woodwork by George Frederick Bodley and Thomas Garner (1873-74). The tower has remarkable Norman blank arcading and contains stone from Nottingham's old Trent Bridge.

Award-winning restaurant housed in the beautifully converted Victorian railway station, designed by Midland Railway architect John Holloway Saunders. The station opened in 1880 and closed to passengers in 1949. Now serving modern British cuisine for over 30 years.

One of Nottinghamshire's leading cricket clubs, founded in 1815 β making it over 200 years old. Members of the Nottinghamshire Premier League and 2012 Newark Alliance Champions. The club invested over Β£180,000 in facilities and acts as a base for Nottinghamshire Visually Impaired Cricket Club.

Traditional village pub built in 1843, reopened in July 2019 after extensive renovation. AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence. Features Italian-style courtyard garden and has been registered as an Asset of Community Value. Located at the village crossroads.
griffinplumtree.co.uk βBurnside Memorial Hall
Village hall donated by Alice Mary Burnside in 1921 in memory of her husband William Elliott Burnside, who owned much of the Plumtree and Tollerton estates. Used for parish council meetings, WI, school events, and community gatherings.
plumtreeparishcouncil.org.uk βPlumtree School
Founded in 1840 by W.E. Elliott in the original school building. After closure in 1974, it reopened as an independent primary school in 1975. The building features the Burnside family initials, as does Chestnut Farm (rebuilt 1906) and other village buildings.
plumtreeparishcouncil.org.uk βThe village's agricultural heritage is evident in its Georgian farmhouses including Manor Farm (typical three-storied farmhouse) and Chestnut Farm (Edwardian rebuild 1906). The white-walled Old Forge with its huge black horseshoe above the doorway is a distinctive landmark. The Sick Club founded in 1830 at the Farmers Arms helped villagers through hardship. Plumtree's population has remained remarkably stable over 200 years β quite unlike its neighbour Keyworth. The Old Dalby Test Track now runs through the parish, used for testing London Underground trains. The village is served by bus routes to Nottingham and Keyworth, and lies within the Rushcliffe Borough and Rushcliffe parliamentary constituency.
