We’ve provided the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions below, but we understand that sometimes it’s easier to talk something through in person, so feel free to pick up the phone if you prefer.

Carpet Cleaning

Should I move my furniture before you come?

If it’s small (i.e chairs, lamps, side tables) and you can easily move it, please do. We will work around large, heavy items of furniture.

If you are disabled, frail or unwell, then leave it to us! We will do everything.

How long before my carpets are bone dry?

Your carpets won’t be left sopping wet because our equipment is highly efficient.  However, it will take 2-3 hours for the small amount of residual moisture to completely evaporate.

If the weather is good and you are at home, leave a few windows ajar to let the air flow through.

During the winter months, your central heating will help to speed up the drying time.

If you need your carpets dry in super-quick time, we do have turbo drying equipment which can be installed for a small fee.  This extra process will cut the drying time in half.

Will my carpet shrink or stretch during cleaning?

An experienced carpet cleaner knows which carpets are prone to stretching or shrinking and which are not. Once we’ve seen your carpet, we’ll know which method of cleaning is right for the job.

Can hot water cleaning damage my carpet?

Not at all. Even though the equipment we use is the most powerful portable carpet extractor on the market, it is fully controllable.  Both the water flow and temperature are adjusted to suit your carpets and provide a deep clean, efficiently and safely.

Can you clean old or valuable Persian rugs?

Yes we can! Any valuable or delicate rugs (e.g Chinese, Turkish, Persian and Oriental) are cleaned off-site because they require a specialist cleaning process. Please call us on 0800 999 5767 for a quote.  We’ll happily collect and return your rug at a time that is convenient to you.

Can you clean my carpets today?

Depending on what we have booked in already, sometimes we can fit in a same-day or 24 hour turnaround for carpet cleaning. Give us a call on 0800 999 5767 to find out.

My carpet is very badly soiled/worn/faded/smelly. Can you help?

We like a challenge! It’s very rare that we aren’t able to improve the state of your carpet.  However, when we do our pre-clean inspection, if we see anything that is truly beyond help, we’ll be completely honest and let you know.

I've got a nasty stain on my carpet and it won't come out. Can you help?

Call and tell us what the offending spill is, how you’ve tried to remove it and we’ll give you an honest answer.

Sometimes a DIY attempt to remove a spill will work pretty well, but sometimes it can make the stain worse or damage the fibres of your carpet.  Our professional stain removal techniques and carpet treatments provide a remedy for a long list of stains, so we’ll do our best to help you.

Our new house pongs of pet urine/cooking fat/damp/smoke. Can you help?

I hired a carpet cleaning machine and some brown/pink/yellow marks have appeared. Can you help?

This is called browning. It’s usually caused by dye which has risen to the top of the carpet pile from the jute or hessian backing underneath. We use a special salvage treatment to solve this problem. Call us on 0800 999 5767 today and we’ll come and take a look!

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

Yes, for straightforward jobs we can usually give you a fixed price over the phone without needing to see your property.

For large or more complicated jobs (such as delicate upholstery, cleaning multiple properties, block cleaning or commercial cleaning work), we would always prefer to visit you first to ensure you receive an accurate quote.

Do you offer a special rate for multiple properties?

Yes, we would always provide a bespoke quote for cleaning multiple properties.  Give us a call on 0800 999 5767 and we’ll talk through your requirements.

Which payment methods do you accept?

You can pay with cash, cheque or BACS transfer.  For regular contract or commercial work, we can set up a monthly payment account for you.
